Overview

This RFQ seeks removal of asbestos roof sheets and replacement with IBR sheets at Lapas (Uitsoek Plantation). Bidders should be registered asbestos contractors with CIDB 1GB or higher, and provide Tax Clearance, SANAS-accredited B-BBEE (or EME/QSE sworn affidavit), CSD registration, and evidence of asbestos handling capabilities.

Requirements

• Complete RFQ document on company letterhead; return all SBD forms.
• CIDB: registered 1GB or higher.
• Valid COIDA good standing.
• Proof of registration to handle asbestos (asbestos handling registration).
• Tax clearance and CSD registration (or MAaa number); latest BBBEE certificate or sworn affidavit.
• Two reference letters/completion certificates for relevant works; CVs of key personnel.
• Local content and targeted procurement: meet local content thresholds; employ 100% local direct labour with 25% women and 25% youth; engage Targeted Enterprises as defined.
• Project administration: daily records, safety compliance (OHS Act, asbestos regulations), and adherence to NEC4-based contract data (including payment terms and programme delivery).
• Delivery scope includes removal, disposal of asbestos, and installation of 0.6mm IBR sheets with associated materials; price to include inspections and approvals.
• Joint ventures require consolidated B-BBEE; verification of all mandatory documents.
