Overview

RFQ to provide, supply, install and fit-out four containers at Iziko Nelson Mandela Prison House (Paarl) for a Kiosk, Ticketing Office, Security Office and Staff Office, including furniture and equipment. Suitable bidders are service providers with proven experience in container refurbishment, on-site installation, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and comprehensive fit-out, able to deliver four complete, plug-and-play units and commission them on site.

Requirements

• Capacity to supply, refurbish, deliver, install and fit out four refurbished containers for commercial/operational use.
• Containers must be fully insulated, weatherproof, secure and suitable for long-term external use; include required finishes and flooring.
• Deliver four complete units with all internal fit-out, furniture, fittings, equipment, and external works; testing and commissioning; CoC where applicable.
• Electrical: full installation including distribution boards, plug points, circuit protection, site connections, testing and certification.
• HVAC: appropriately sized air-conditioning per container (minimum BTU as specified); full installation and commissioning.
• Water/wastewater: connections to site supply where applicable, with testing.
• Fire safety and first aid: provide required extinguishers and first aid kit boxes.
• Furnishings and built-ins: implement specified desks, cupboards, shelving, counters, and other fixtures per Annexures; built to accommodate equipment.
• Transport, site positioning, levelling, and on-site commissioning of all four containers; provide CoC.
• Completion deadline: all four containers fully complete and operational by 22 January 2027.
• Administrative/compliance: Central Supplier Database registration, valid tax status, COIDA, SBD 4 and SBD 6.1 forms, and valid BBBEE certificate or sworn affidavit; five client references (within five years); company profile.
• Pricing: submit a detailed pricing schedule inclusive of VAT; price must cover all labour, materials, transport, installation, and associated costs; quotes valid for 60 days from closing date.
