REQUEST FOR QUOTATION (RFQ) FOR APPOINTMENT OF A SERVICE PROVIDER TO UNDERTAKE THE MANUFACTURING, FABRICATION AND INSTALLATION OF 30 GLASS PLANES ANDTHE DISPLAY INFRASTRUCTURE FOR THE NELSON MANDELA PRISON HOUSE EXHIBITION IN PAARL.

Overview

RFQ to appoint a service provider to manufacture, fabricate and install 30 glass display planes and the display infrastructure for the Nelson Mandela Prison House Exhibition in Paarl. Iziko Museums seeks a fabricator with proven capability in indoor/outdoor display fabrication (glass, steel/Corten, Alupanel finishes) and on-site installation, to deliver within a 10-week fabrication period and 11-week installation window.

Requirements

• Demonstrated capability in manufacturing, fabrication and installation of the specified display infrastructure (indoor/outdoor) and related components.
• Compliance with supplier registration and tax obligations (CSD registration with tax status and PIN; VAT status).
• Valid B-BBEE certificate or sworn affidavit; completion of SBD 4 and SBD 6.1; signed declarations (anti-corruption, conflict of interest).
• Insurance: Contract works insurance of R5 million; installation insurance.
• Administrative and mandatory documents: detailed pricing structure (incl. VAT), company profile with fabrication/installation experience, portfolio of at least 3 projects with verifiable references, Senior Project Lead CV, and Implementation Plan.
• Commitment to best-value evaluation (80/20 price vs. specific goals) under the Preferential Procurement Regulations; ability to prove HDI/specific goals if claimed.
• Not on tender defaulter list and no disqualifying fraud convictions; agreement to IP and handover terms.
