Overview

Iziko Museums of South Africa invites quotes for the fabrication and installation of curved display platforms (carpentry/joinery). Bidders should have proven carpentry/display fabrication experience for public/museum environments, with evidence of at least five comparable projects in the past five years, and the ability to deliver a full turnkey solution (fabrication, delivery, installation, finishes, and on-site measurements).

Requirements

• Proven experience: five comparable projects in last five years, with portfolio and references.
• Administrative/compliance: active CSD report with tax status, SARS TCS PIN; BBBEE certificate or sworn affidavit; signed SBD 4 and SBD 6.1; Annexure A signed; Annexure B OHSA written agreement; Occupational Health and Safety file.
• Technical/documentation: visual portfolio; contactable references; detailed pricing schedule; shop drawings; on-site measurement verification; 3D model reference in Annexure A.
• Evaluation criteria: minimum 70% functionality; 80/20 price-preference (80 price, 20 specific goals); evidence of HDI/BBEE in claims.
• Health & safety: comply with OHSA; complete Annexure B written agreement; provide health and safety documentation.
• Deliverables: full fabrication, components, vinyl graphics with laminate, transport, installation, snagging, and waste removal.
