Overview

This RFQ seeks the installation of bulk power supply cables and electrical infrastructure at CSIR CHPC, Rosebank, covering Rooms 27, 31 and the Main Data Center. Bidders should be electrical contractors with CIDB 4EB or higher, and with demonstrated data-centre electrical project experience. The scope includes dual-feed A/B systems, fire-stopping, earthing, BMS metering, and a SANS 10142-1 CoC (Annexure A1.pdf).

Requirements

• CIDB: active registration 4EB or higher (and eligibility for JV as per CIDB rules).
• Experience: minimum three verifiable data-centre electrical projects in last 5 years.
• Legal/insurance: COIDA good standing; Public Liability cover min R20 million; valid Department of Labour electrical contractor registration for three-phase LV installations.
• Documentation: Annexure C (SBD 1), Annexure D (SBD 4), Annexure K (OH&S), Annexure E (Preference Points form), Annexure F (Mutual NDA); CIDB proof.
• Technical/compliance: SANS 10142-1 CoC; approved Method Statement and Construction Programme; attend compulsory briefing/site inspection. OH&S/SHEQ compliance per Annexure H.
• Pricing: Bill of Quantities (Annexure B) with ROE/escalation details.
• References: at least three client references for data-centre electrical work.
