Overview

PRASA is procuring the supply and delivery of welding kits, including Thermit welding kits and related components, for rail operations. Suitable bidders are suppliers/distributors of welding kits and related accessories, capable of meeting the scope of work and SA procurement rules (PPPFA 2022).

Requirements

• Tax and supplier compliance: submit SARS PIN (or CSD number if no PIN); provide COIDA Good Standing; ensure tax/compliance status updates; complete all RFP declarations.
• Documentation: submit completed Pricing and Delivery Schedule (Section 4) and BOQ/Pricing Schedule (Section 10); sign all RFQ documents and SBD forms; provide JV/consortium/Subcontract agreements if applicable.
• Eligibility: not a State employee or closely connected; provide proof of authority to sign; indicate CSD/SARS status for each party in JV if any.
• Experience: demonstrate organizational experience with similar projects (provide appointment letters, project details, client contact, completion certificates).
• Specific goals: provide evidence for BBBEE-related targets (e.g., Black youth ownership, 51% Black-owned EME/QSE) with appropriate documentation.
• Returnables and processes: adhere to sealed submission, no late bids; comply with pricing methodology and delivery terms; potential for market-related price adjustments.
