Overview

The CSIR is seeking to appoint a qualified gas sensor service provider to supply and deliver gas sensor spares at CSIR Scientia Campus on an as-and-when required basis for four years. The contract focuses on gas sensor inserts and related spares (e.g., O2, CO2, H2, CO, NH3, NO2, LPG/LEL) and associated transmitters/controllers, with defined delivery times (critical incidents within 24 hours; other requests within 72 hours) and a requirement for a Gauteng-based operation to service CSIR labs.

Requirements

• Qualified supplier able to supply gas sensor spares and perform related delivery/standby services for four years.
• Delivery capability: respond to critical incidents within 24 hours and other requests within 72 hours; standby arrangements must be in place.
• Local presence: established office/operational base within Gauteng.
• Compatibility: gas sensor inserts must be compatible with GFG and GDS transmitters as per Annexure A/BoQ.
• Compliance and registrations: tax-compliant, registered on the Central Supplier Database (CSD) and SARS POPI/POPIA requirements, maintain B-BBEE status at least at initial level, and sign required nondisclosure and bidding disclosures (Annexures C–F).
• Returnables: submit mandated documents (SBD forms, MTN/PPPFA forms, Mutual NDA) and the fully completed Bill of Quantities (BoQ) (Annexure B).
• Evaluation: adherence to procurement rules (80/20 preference system; elimination criteria must be met).
