Overview

RFQ to appoint a qualified gas sensor service provider to supply and deliver gas sensor spares (gas sensor inserts) at CSIR Scientia Campus on an as-and-when-required basis for four years. Suitable bidders are suppliers of gas sensors and spares with experience in servicing CSIR-scale requirements, and able to comply with CSIR procurement rules (SBDs, NDA, PPPFA, tax compliance). The Bill of Quantities covers gas sensor inserts (e.g., O2, CO2, H2, etc.) (BoQ_RFQNo.9546-28-10-2026.xlsx).

Requirements

• Returnable documents: SBD forms (Annexures C, D), Preference Points (Annexure E), Mutual NDA (Annexure F), Bill of Quantities (Annexure B) (RFQ documents).
• Pricing in ZAR, inclusive of taxes where applicable; include freight/insurance as needed; provide detailed BoQ pricing (Annexure B) (BoQ_RFQNo.9546-28-10-2026.xlsx).
• Evaluation: 80/20 preference points; elimination criteria (late bids, incorrect submission, NT restrictions/defaulters, missing mandatory documents, non-conformance) (RFQ_No.9546-28-10-2026.pdf).
• Compliance: tax compliance (SARS), no security breaches, confidentiality (POPI), and general CSIR compliance.
• Mandatory conditions include no delivery without CSIR purchase order.
