Overview

PRASA seeks to appoint a qualified contractor to undertake minor refurbishment at Malvern Station within the Old Mainline, to be completed over a 12-week construction period in KwaZulu-Natal. Bidders should have CIDB grading of 3GB or higher and be able to meet PRASA’s procurement, tax, and governance requirements (see attached RFQ document for details: “RFQ for Refurbishment-Malvern Station.pdf”).

Requirements

• CIDB grading 3GB or higher.
• Tax compliance: provide SARS PIN/TCS certificate or CSD number; separate TCS PIN for each JV/consortium party if applicable.
• Register on National Treasury Central Supplier Database (CSD) or evidence for foreign vendors; ensure compliance if applicable.
• Returnable documents: include Briefing Session Form D, attendance register, completed submission register, and complete all BOQ items.
• Specific-goal preferences: provide evidence for Black Women Owned (10), Black Youth Owned (5), Black Person with Disabilities (5).
• Compulsory briefing attendance; no late entry allowed (07 July 2026, 10:00, Malvern Station).
• Compliance with PFMA/SCM rules, and signing authority (proof of authority for signatory).
• Use official bid forms, fixed-price tender with all taxes included; adherence to GCC and any special conditions.
• Funding contingency: award subject to budget allocation; bid submission acknowledges potential non-award if funding is not secured.
