Overview

The RFQ seeks a service provider to perform emergency repairs to the railway embankment on the Umlazi line between Zwelethu and Kwamnyandu. Bidders should have CIDB grading 4CE or higher and be compliant with PRASA’s tax and registration requirements (PIN/CSD, SARS) and related bid criteria. Requirements

• CIDB grading 4CE or higher; compliance with mandatory CIDB proof in bid documents
• Tax/compliance: SARS PIN, CSD registration; COID Good Standing; ensure compliance certificates for all joint ventures or sub-contractors
• Completion of all RFP documentation, including Briefing Session Form D, and attendance at compulsory site briefing
• Signing of JV/consortium or partnering agreement where applicable
• Bidders must not be in the state service and must meet general legal compliance requirements
• Evidence of organisational capability: relevant retaining-wall/embankment construction experience and personnel qualifications (Trackmaster with C Green; civil engineering qualifications; two flagmen)
• Evidence of capability to deliver (methodology, programme, safety) and ability to quote on a fixed-price basis including taxes
• Specific goals: BBEE level 2 or higher evidence for preference points; documentation to support claims
• Adherence to pricing, delivery, and contract terms as set by PRASA General Conditions of Purchase
