Overview

RFQ to appoint a service provider for Working at Heights training for PRASA KZN for a 12-month period, as and when required. Bidders should be training providers with rail/training experience, accredited for Unit Standards 229998 (Basic Fall Arrest) and 229995 (Fall Arrest Rescue), able to train 8 employees, and capable of delivering on-site training at Durban/Metrorail premises (Durban Station).

Requirements

• Mandatory documents and qualifications
• Complete and sign the closing/submission register; submit Unit Standards 229998 and 229995.
• Tax compliance: provide SARS PIN for verification or a Tax Clearance Certificate; each JV/Consortium participant must submit separate TCS/CSD details.
• Central Supplier Database (CSD) registration number; if foreign-based, follow applicable rules.
• If a Joint Venture/Consortium is involved, provide a signed JV/Consortium Agreement.
• B-BBEE: minimum Level 2; evidence includes B-BBEE certificate or affidavit; 51% Black Owned status may yield additional points.
• Training specifications: 3-day Working at Heights training at Durban Station; US 229998 (Basic Fall Arrest) and US 229995 (Fall Arrest Rescue); on-site practicals on Metrorail premises; training for 8 employees.
• Compliance with PRASA General Conditions of Purchase and related legal requirements.
• Funding contingency: award subject to securing sufficient budget; PRASA may cancel if funding is not allocated.
