Overview

Procurement of an OTN installation, configuration and maintenance service provider for PRASA’s Telecoms Department in the Gauteng region. Bids are open to service providers with accredited OTN MPLS-TP training capabilities or vendor-proprietary training systems (proof required).

Requirements

• Accreditation: OTN MPLS-TP training provider or vendor proprietary training certificate (with proof).
• Tax and supplier registrations: SARS PIN/TCS, CSD number where applicable; COIDA good standing.
• Returnable documents: Completed Pricing and Delivery Schedule; BOQ/Pricing Schedule; all RFQ declarations and SBD forms.
• Compliance: Bidder must meet all mandatory documents and declarations; no bids from state employees or related entities.
• Technical capability: Demonstrated experience with similar OTN/MPLS-TP projects; submit project references with client contact details and completion evidence.
• Evaluation prerequisites: Minimum 70% threshold for Stage 2 functionality; price and specific goals to follow (80/20 weighting).

• Submission deadline: 02 September 2026 at 10:00; hand-deliver to Ground Floor Shosholoza Meyl Junction, Cnr Leyds and Simmonds Street, Braamfontein. No late bids; no email/fax submissions (RFQ SCM_2024).
• Documents to submit: Completed Pricing and Delivery Schedule; BOQ/Pricing Schedule; RFQ forms (SBDs); proof of OTN training accreditation; COIDA letter; SARS PIN or CSD number; JV/Consortium agreements if applicable.
• Registrations pre-requisites: SARS PIN/TCS; CSD registration (or proof of exemption for foreign entities); COIDA clearance.
