Overview

The RFQ seeks the appointment of a service provider to overhaul a bus differential (DIFF) for PRASA. Bid is open to mechanical/service providers with heavy-vehicle differential overhaul expertise and required certifications (RMI/WIWA), tax compliance, and registration on the Central Supplier Database (CSD).

Requirements

• Mandatory documentation and certifications, to be submitted with the quote:
  • Quotation on company letterhead
  • RMI/WIWA certificate valid at submission
  • SARS PIN (Tax Compliance)
  • CSD supplier registration number
  • Completion of ALL RFP documentation (declarations)
• Tax/compliance specifics:
  • Individual TCS PIN or SARS verification; or CSD number if no TCS
  • Separate TCS certificates for each joint venture/consortium/sub-contractor
• Eligibility rules:
  • No bids from persons in the state service or related arrangements
• Evaluation framework:
  • Stage 2: Price (80) and Specific Goals (20)
  • Specific goals include at least BBBEE Level 1 or 2 and at least 51% Black Women ownership
• Delivery/contract terms:
  • Delivery within a bidder-specified period (from order)
  • 1-year warranty on delivered items per PRASA general conditions
• Funding contingency:
  • Award subject to budget allocation and funding approval; may be cancelled if funding is not secured
• Administrative: Bids must be complete and conform to the RFQ requirements; non-responsive bids will be disqualified
