Overview

PRASA seeks a service provider to appoint and deliver Snake Awareness and Handling Training for its Western Cape Region employees (approx. 20 participants). Bidders should be accredited training providers with qualified trainers in snake handling, safety protocols, and first aid, and must demonstrate relevant certifications (e.g., SETA, HPCSA, FGASA or equivalent).

Requirements

• Proof of company registration (certificate of incorporation)
• Valid SARS PIN and Tax Clearance or SARS PIN alternative
• Central Supplier Database (CSD) number or CSD report
• Completion of all RFQ documentation and declarations
• Copies of directors’ IDs and proof of bank (cancelled cheque)
• Evidence of previous delivery of similar training (minimum two letters/appointments)
• Detailed CVs of facilitator(s)/assessor(s)/moderator(s)
• Proof of accreditation of the trainer/provider by HPCSA/FGASA/SAIOSH or equivalent
• Training delivery capability: qualified trainers, training materials, PPE, and safe practical demonstrations
• Post-training reporting: comprehensive post-course report with attendance, content, risks, photos, and recommendations
• Accredited certificate issuance (SET A/HPCSA/FGASA or equivalent) on completion
• Training location: PRASA will provide venue; supplier must supply materials and PPE

How to Apply

• Deadline: 15 October 2026, 12:00.
• Submission: sealed bid deposited in the PRASA Tender Drop Off Office, 3 Old Marine Drive, Cape Town. Use official bid response forms (not re-typed).
• Pricing: complete the attached Pricing Schedule (Section 9) in Rand, including all taxes.
• Documents to submit (referenced in RFQ): pricing schedule, company docs, trainer CVs, accreditation proofs, IDs, VAT/TIN details, CSD pin, tax clearance, attendance/appointment letters, and completion declarations.
• Pre-qualification: provide SARS PIN/CSD; ensure tax compliance.
• Briefing: non-mandatory briefing on 08 October 2026 at 10:00 via Microsoft Teams (link in RFQ).
