Overview

The PRASA RFQ seeks a service provider for a complete bus engine overhaul, commissioning and test at the Pretoria Depot. Bidder should have heavy-engine overhaul capability for buses, supply all required parts, perform dyno/testing, and comply with PRASA procurement rules (tax, CSD/SARS, and BBBEE requirements). The process uses a fixed-price, 80/20 preference system with specific goals, and includes a mandatory site visit evaluation (see Annexure A). The pricing schedule is in the BOQ/PRICING SCHEDULE for PTA/Cape Town bus engines (10372713 RFQ). Typical deliverables include overhaul, reconditioning, testing, and handover with warranties.

Requirements

• Tax compliance: provide SARS PIN and/or Tax Clearance; submit CSD registration if no PIN; include related documents.
• Specific goals: BBBEE level 1 or 2; 51% Black Women ownership; evidence via SANAS/SDS documentation or affidavits.
• Mandatory documentary requirements: quotation on company letterhead; complete ALL RFP documentation; valid SARS/PIN; CSD number; IDs of directors; disclosure forms for PEP/PIP, if applicable.

• Pricing: fixed, inclusive of taxes; pricing must align with the attached Pricing Schedule/BOQ.
• Governance: PRASA General Conditions of Purchase apply; 30-day payment terms; warranty of one year for items/works as applicable.
