Request for Quotation (RFQ) For the once-off supply, installation of razor wire coil and removal and replacement of the rusted and old Razor wire coil at CSIR Pretoria Scientia campus

Overview

CSIR invites bids for the once-off supply, delivery and installation of razor wire coils at CSIR Pretoria Scientia Campus (including ICC) to upgrade perimeter security. Bidders must have CIDB registration 2 SQ or higher or be capable of registering before closing, and may bid as a joint venture with a lead partner meeting CIDB requirements. Vendors should have perimeter security/installation experience, and meet tax, CSD and supplier registration requirements.

Requirements

• CIDB: 2 SQ or higher (or ability to register prior to closing); joint ventures allowed with lead partner meeting CIDB requirements; combined designation ≥ 2 SQ (CIDB 9/9.2). (Annexure A)
• Essential Returnables: Annexure B BoQ; valid DEL good standing or private insurer; valid active CIDB 2 SQ+; minimum three relevant reference letters/completion certificates (2016–date) with contact details. (Table 1–2)
• Mandatory documents: Annexure C (SBD 1), Annexure D (SBD 4); quotation on official letterhead; Annexure E (Preference Points) for points claims. (Tables 1–2)
• Compliance: materials/workmanship per SABS/SANS 10400 and OHSA; safety file to CSIR SHEQ approval before works.
• Other: tax compliance (SARS PIN or CSD), CNC/PO requirements, disposal certificate for removed wire. (Annexures)

• Documents to submit (from attached annexures): SBD 1, SBD 4, BoQ (Annexure B), proof of CIDB 2 SQ+, DEL good standing, three reference letters, BBBEE documentation (Annexure E), safety file, and any deviations notes for BoQ. (Annexures A–E)
