Overview

CSIR invites quotes for the replacement of floor coverings, painting, blind replacement, and installation of a suspended ceiling on the second floor of Building 44F at CSIR (RFQ No. 6745/21/08/2026). Suitable bidders are contractors with CIDB 2GB or higher and electrical contracting capability; experience in office renovations, floor coverings, painting, blinds, and suspended ceilings is required. The works are interface-heavy and must comply with CSIR SHEQ and SA standards. Site meeting is not required; duration is up to 20 working days.

Requirements

• CIDB registration of 2GB or higher (joint ventures allowed with conditions).
• Valid electrician qualification, wireman’s licence, and Department of Employment and Labour registration as electrical contractor.
• Tax compliance and COIDA good standing letter; SARS proof as required.
• Registration on Central Supplier Database (CSD) and verification of tax status; NT Tender Defaulters/Restricted Supplier checks.
• Essential returnables: Annexure C, D, E, F; Annexure B (BOQ) completed; 3 independent reference letters showing relevant scope; not PO/contract letters.
• Technical evidence: submit product specs/datasheets for proposed carpet tiles, paints, and LED fittings; comply with SANS/SABS and CSIR SHEQ requirements; proof of safety files, site induction, and permits.
• Pricing: provide detailed BOQ-based pricing in Rand with clear ROE; include all cost elements.
