Overview

The PRASA RFQ seeks the supply and delivery of batteries. It targets battery suppliers with the ability to meet PRASA’s procurement and regulatory requirements (e.g., PPPFA, tax, BBBEE considerations) and to deliver under PRASA’s terms.

• Required capabilities/certifications: tax compliance (SARS PIN/TCS), CSD registration, SBD forms, and adherence to PRASA’s General Conditions of Purchase. Evidence of BBEE status may be needed to claim specific goals.

• Evaluation framework (high-level): administrative compliance, technical/functional threshold (≥60%), price (80 points) and specific goals (20 points). PrASA may apply objective criteria and may split awards.

Requirements

• Complete Pricing and Delivery Schedule Form and BOQ/Pricing Schedule.
• Signed RFQ document and Standard Bid Documents (SBD forms).
• Tax compliance: SARS PIN or CSD registration; separate certificates for joint ventures/sub-contractors.
• CSD registration number; COIDA Good Standing (if applicable).
• No service-by-state conflicts; compliance with anti-corruption declarations.
• 90 working day validity; flexibility to extend; prices in ZAR, fixed and inclusive of taxes.
• Delivery and packaging: delivery to PRASA with proper labeling and invoicing; warranty of 1 year (where stated).
