Overview

CSIR invites quotations for the supply and delivery of the Livox Mid 360 LiDAR 3D LiDAR with minimal detection range to the CSIR. Bidders should be LiDAR hardware suppliers or distributors capable of delivering the device under CSIR procurement rules, with pricing in Rand (VAT included) and completion of CSIR bid documentation (SBD forms) in line with PPPFA requirements, tax and supplier registration standards (CSD/NT).

Requirements

• Price in ZAR, including taxes, with any escalation/ROE clearly indicated and inclusive of freight/insurance where applicable.
• Complete and submit Annexure B (Pricing Schedule) plus Annexure C (SBD1), Annexure D (SBD4), Annexure E (Preference Points), Annexure F (Mutual NDA).
• Tax compliance and registration: SARS Tax Compliance status (PIN/CSD), and be registered on the Central Supplier Database; comply for all JV/consortia parties.
• Meet the specification in Annexure A (Livox Mid 360 LiDAR spec) and CSIR returnable documents; comply with compulsory/mandatory documents and avoid elimination criteria (late bid, incorrect submission, NT restricted, tender defaulter, or missing documents).
• No submission through cloud services; electronic submission only in English; ensure proper subject reference as RFQ 6770/07/10/2026.

• Submit electronically to tender@csir.co.za with RFQ number and description in the subject line (e.g., RFQ 6770/07/10/2026 – Livox Mid 360 LiDAR).
• File size per email capped at 25MB; if larger, submit in multiple emails.
• Required documents: Annexure B (Pricing Schedule), Annexure C (SBD1), Annexure D (SBD4), Annexure E (Preference Points), Annexure F (Mutual NDA).
• Pre-qualifications: be tax compliant, and ensure CSD/NT database registrations; for consortia, each party must provide separate TCS PIN/CSD; ownership or inclusion in state-related registers may affect eligibility.
• Briefing/session details: N/A (No compulsory briefing).
