Overview

PRASA invites bids for the supply and delivery of Safe Working Equipment (SWE) in Gauteng on a one-off basis. The SWE scope (per attached spec) includes items such as Fall Arrester, full-body safety harnesses, rechargeable two-way radios, and bump caps with chinstraps, for maintenance on the EMU fleet at Braamfontein. Eligible bidders are suppliers of SWE who can meet PRASA standards, provide warranties, calibration/docs, and after-sales support.

Requirements

• Mandatory returnable documents: Pricing and Delivery Schedule; BOQ/Pricing Schedule; Signed RFQ and SBDs; COIDA Letter (if applicable); SARS PIN; CSD number; JV/consortium agreements as required.
• Tax/compliance: Submit SARS PIN or TCS; CSD registration if no TCS; comply with PPPFA, GCC, and related conditions.
• Technical/quality: SWE must meet PRASA safety standards; pre-delivery inspection/testing; 12-month warranty; defect repair/return within 10 working days; provide user manuals and compliance certificates.
• Evaluation: Stage 1 compliance (mandatory docs) → Stage 2 technical minimum 60% → Stage 3 price (80) and specific goals (20); PRASA may split awards or apply objective criteria.
