Overview

RFQ to replace encoders on nine automated fly bars at Artscape’s Opera House, a theatre automation and electrical retrofit project. Service providers with theatre automation experience, appropriate electrical qualifications, and ability to supply compatible parts should bid. The procurement is within a R500k threshold and requires registration and BBBEE compliance.

Requirements

• Bidder must have experience in theatre/Opera House automation systems
• Bidder must hold the necessary electrical qualifications
• Bidder must be validly registered on the Central Supplier Database (CSD)
• Parts/components supplied must be compatible with existing installations
• BBBEE certificate or sworn affidavit; SARS number and SARS status PIN
• Complete SBD forms: SBD4, SBD6.1, SBD6.2 (as applicable), SBD8 & SBD9
• Timeline: work to commence 6 July 2026 and finish by 20 July 2026
