Overview

Request for Quotation to supply and deliver 3-core XLPE 185 mm², 6.35/11 kV, SWA underground power cable (500 m) for Airports Company South Africa – King Shaka International Airports. Bidders should be cable manufacturers/suppliers able to meet SANS/IEC standards, provide FAT/SAT, hold ISO 9001, and comply with tax and supplier pre-qualification requirements.

Requirements

• 3-core XLPE 185 mm², 6.6/11 kV SWA underground cable, 500 m, direct burial/duct installation; FAT and SAT testing required; conformance to SANS/IEC standards.
• Mandatory returnable documents: priced offer (SBD 3.3), Declaration of Interest, Bidder’s Disclosure, SBD 6.1, BBBEE/affidavit, tax PIN, CSD/VAT documentation, proof of competency, certificate of incorporation, terms and conditions, Central Supplier Database entry.
• Documentation and testing: Manufacturer’s Type Test Certificates, FAT, SAT, Certificate of Conformity, Cable Drum Schedule, Installation Instructions, Warranty (min 24 months), Megger/PD tests, FAT/SAT reports, as-built drawings.
• Compliance and governance: Tax compliance (SARS PIN or CSD number), security vetting may apply, confidentiality/NDAs, and adherence to ACSA terms.
• Commercial: 80/20 preference (price and specific goals) with BBBEE considerations; prices must remain valid for the contract term (document states 120 business days; metadata notes 175 days).

• Submission method: Email bids to acsarfq@airports.co.za; do not submit as one large attachment; split into at least four attachments of up to ~4 MB each.
• Documents to complete/submit: Priced offer (SBD 3.3), SBD 4, SBD 6.1, BBBEE documentation, Tax PIN, CSD, VAT questionnaire, Proof of competency, Certificate of Incorporation, Central Supplier Database, Confidentiality Agreement, and ACSA terms.
• Pre-qualifications/registrations: Tax compliance (SARS PIN), CSD number if no TCS, VAT registration as applicable.
• Briefing/site inspection: N/A.
