Overview

RFQ for UPS maintenance at Upington International Airport for five years. The Airports Company South Africa seeks qualified bidders to provide maintenance services for Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems, with the contract governed by an NEC3 Term Service Contract framework.

Requirements

• CIDB: minimum rating of 2EB for eligibility (Stage 1 evaluation separately requires 3EB+ with proof).
• Electrical contractor registration with the Department of Labour (DOL): proof of registration (or equivalent evidence).
• UPS maintenance experience: at least 5 years; provide CVs and contactable references (minimum three letters) showing scope and contact details.
• Technician/Artisan: at least 5 years UPS maintenance experience; trade test and N3 electrical qualification; CVs with qualifications; proof that SAQA/CETA-SETA credentials are recognized.
• Technician/Assistant: at least 3 years UPS maintenance experience; N2 electrical qualification for the assistant; related CVs.
• Tax compliance: SARS e-filing PIN (or proof of Tax Compliance Status) and CSD number if no PIN; separate TCS for JV/subcontractors.
• Returnable documents: complete and sign official forms; return in original + one copy plus electronic copy (USB) as required.
• Insurance and risk: review Insurance Schedule; provide required insurances as applicable.
• Evaluation: Stage 4 uses 100-point functionality, with a minimum 70; Stage 5 uses PPPFA 80/20 (price vs. preference) and B-BBEE proof.
• Other: adhere to confidentiality, avoidance of conflicts of interest, and contract-specific terms (as per NEC3 C1.2a data and Z clauses).
