Overview

Statistics South Africa is seeking quotes for the supply of office stationery (as per the SBD 3.1 item list). Bidders should be stationery suppliers capable of delivering firm-priced items (e.g., Pen Energel Rollerball Black BL107-0.77; EL-334W Desk Calculator) and comply with the standard bid framework. Submissions must be sent before the closing date to quotations@statssa.gov.za. Quotes align to a 60-day validity period and use firm pricing (SBD3.1).

Requirements

• Submit on official forms and in the format required by the SBDs (SBD1, SBD4, SBD6.1) (SBD1).
• Prices must be firm and exclude VAT; VAT where applicable must be clearly included in the final total (SBD3.1).
• Tax compliance: provide SARS Tax Compliance Status, PIN, or CSD number; ensure tax affairs are in order (SBD1/SBD3.1).
• Provide BBBEE documentation or sworn affidavit to qualify for preference points (SBD1/SBD6.1).
• Complete and submit Annexures for disclosure and preference (SBD4, SBD6.1); be prepared to substantiate any goals claimed (e.g., ownership by Black, Woman, Youth, Disabled) with required proofs (IDs, CSD, etc.) (SBD6.1).
• Adhere to the 80/20 preference point system (Price 80; Specific Goals 20) and 60-day bid validity (SBD6.1, SBD3.1).
• Ensure no conflicts of interest and disclose relationships with the procuring entity as required (SBD4).

• If a consortium/ JV/sub-contractors are involved, provide separate TCS/CSD details for each party (SBD1).
