Overview

PRASA seeks the supply and delivery of wheel sets and axle bearings in East London on a one-off basis. Eligible bidders are suppliers of railway rolling-stock components (wheel sets 995mm diameter; axle bearings 640mm diameter) with capability to deliver to PRASA’s East London depot, and who meet South African public procurement requirements (SARS tax compliance, CSD registration, and B-BBEE considerations).

Requirements

• Complete and submit the Pricing Schedule on the official forms.
• Submit mandatory documents: Company registration, directors’ IDs, valid Tax Clearance Certificate and SARS PIN, CSD supplier number, proof of bank account, and full RFQ documentation (all declarations, SBD forms).
• Tax compliance: obtain/submit Tax Compliance status (TCS PIN) and/or CSD registration; inclusive of consortiums requiring separate TCS for each party.
• Compliance with PRASA General Conditions of Purchase; include warranties (1 year), delivery by order date, and acceptance procedures; risk/title transfer on acceptance.
• Evaluation uses 80/20 price and specific goals (BBEE/employment goals) with documented evidence.
