Overview

Procurement of supply, delivery, commissioning and maintenance of manual paediatric beds for Eastern Cape Department of Health facilities. Suitable bidders include manufacturers or medical equipment distributors capable of supplying pediatric beds, providing installation, commissioning, training, spare parts, and ongoing maintenance; must assign a Clinical Engineer/CET for service, provide OEM authorization, and meet SA tax and supplier registrations.

Requirements

• Be registered on the Central Supplier Database with updated tax status, or provide SARS Tax Compliance Status (PIN) or CSD number; if in a consortium, separate TCS/CSD for each party.
• Complete and sign all statutory bid forms (e.g., SBD declarations, Summary Form of Offer) and provide an Authorized Signatory.
• Provide Manufacturer Authorization or OEM/distributor letter certifying the supplier’s ability to supply, service and maintain the equipment (with true manufacturer brochures and specifications).
• Submit detailed equipment specifications, manufacturer brochures, and price schedules; reference these to returnable Schedule D (equipment specs) and Schedule E (pricing).
• Demonstrate maintainability/serviceability: appoint a Clinical Engineer, provide qualifications, and include minimum references.
• Attend (non-compulsory) briefing on 16 September 2026; all clarifications must be in writing within 5 days after the briefing.

• Submit bids online via the e-Tender Portal (www.etenders.gov.za) by 06 October 2026 at 11:00.
