Overview

The National Museum, Bloemfontein seeks mechanical contractors to supply and install a dust extraction and fresh air supply system in the Palaeontology Lab. Bidders should be qualified mechanical/HVAC contractors with lab/museum experience, and meet public-sector requirements (CIDB 3ME or higher; ECSA-registered Project Manager; electrician with trade test and wireman license; SAQCC refrigeration/gas supervisory competence; relevant registrations and safety credentials). Requirements

• Demonstrable experience in dust extraction and fresh air systems for labs/museums; provide contactable references and client letters on official letterhead, with start/end dates.
• Key personnel and qualifications:
  • Project Manager: Professional Engineer (ECSA), min 3 years’ relevant experience; attach CV/qualifications.
  • Electrician: electrical trade test & wireman’s license, min 3 years’ relevant experience; attach CVs.
  • Senior Supervisor: refrigeration mechanic/gas practitioner (SAQCC), min 3 years’ experience; attach CVs.
  • Other key personnel with 3+ years’ relevant HVAC experience; attach CVs.
• Compliance docs: valid company registration (CIPC), CIDB Grade 3ME or higher (or ability to register within 21 working days post-closing), CSD Level 3ME+, Health and Safety Policy, COIDA good standing, proof of registration with CIBD/SAQCC/SANS, SBD forms (1,2,3.3,4,6.1,8,9), OHSA Annexure A, NDA Annexure B, and bid-specific attachments.
• Attestations: attendance at the compulsory briefing; provide evidence of briefing attendance.
