Overview

The Department of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment’s Marine Living Resources Fund (MLRF) seeks to appoint a service provider to cater for a two-day National Aquatic Animal Health Workshop (Imbizo Boardroom, Pretoria) for 30 attendees on 07–08 October 2026. Bidders should be capable of delivering halal, ready-to-serve platters with beverages, crockery/utensils, delivery at 12:00, and clearly itemised pricing (rfq0001293.26.27_caterinffortwodayworkshop.pdf).

Requirements

• Catering scope for 30 people over two days, delivered to venue at 12:00, with ready-to-serve platters and appropriate labeling; halal options required.
• Include beverages (water and soft drinks) for 30 over both days; provide crockery and utensils.
• Detailed pricing: price per platter, portions per platter, delivery charges, menu details with portions, dietary/allergen information, and VAT inclusions.
• Documentation: complete SBD forms (SBD1, SBD2, SBD3.3/3.1, SBD4, SBD6.1) and sign all; provide tax clearance certificate or tax compliance status; CSD registration; CK1 (entity registration); identity documents for directors; letter of authority; JV details if applicable.
• Pre-qualifications: register on the CSD; bidder to be registered on MLRF Oracle ERP if awarded; submit proof of specific goals for PPPFA points (BBEEE, black ownership, women, youth, disability).
• Evaluation: 80/20 PPPFA (price and specific goals); provide proof for goals claimed; lowest acceptable bid determines price scoring; ensure compliance with GCC/SCC.
• Payment: net 30 days after valid invoice and acceptance; electronic funds transfer; VAT-inclusive pricing.
• Terms: no upfront payments; no delivery before Purchase Order; MLRF may negotiate terms; contract forms to be signed (SBD7.x series as applicable).
• Additional: briefing not applicable; late or non-conforming submissions will be rejected.
