RFP 5039387: Provision of Network Cabling

Overview

The SARB is seeking proposals for ICT Network data cabling maintenance and repair services, including ad hoc data cabling projects, for an initial three-year term with an option to renew for two years. Bidders should be capable data cabling providers with experience in structured copper and fiber cabling, knowledge of EIA/TIA standards, access to Molex-certified technicians, and the ability to meet SARB’s information security and procurement requirements (see ReadMe and Annexures).

Requirements

• Demonstrated cabling project experience with evidence of installed Molex-certified network points (Annexure 4).
• Accreditation: Molex-certified cabling technicians; include accreditation certificates (BRQ 15).
• Staffing: a Data Cabling Project Manager; a project team of 6–8 technicians; regional footprint (Johannesburg/Pretoria, Cape Town, Durban) (BRQ 0, 7; read Annexure 3).
• Standards and processes: adherence to TIA/EIA standards, client cabling naming standard, IT Change Management, and Health & Safety policy (BRQ 3–4; Annexure 3).
• Client references: minimum 5 contactable references (BRQ 17).
• Security and risk: complete Annexure 2 3rd Party risk assessment; staff vetting (SRT 6).
• Subcontracting: limit to 25% subcontracting to BBBEE-levels unless justified (RFP terms).
• Data protection: comply with POPIA; provide privacy risk documentation (SRT 13).
• Pricing: supply pricing per Annexure 6 template; provide both PDF and editable formats (SRT 12; Annexure 6).

• Briefing session: 27 October 2026 at 10:00, compulsory (3.1).
• Submit via the SARB e-Sourcing portal; if portal access is not possible, request permission to submit by email to network.cabling@resbank.co.za with justification (Section 4.2).
• Closing date: 16 November 2026 at 14:00 (Section 3 and Part 4).
