PROVISION OF SPECIALISED MATERIAL HANDLING EQUIPMENT FLEET MANAGEMENT SERVICES, NATIONALLY, FOR A PERIOD OF EIGHT YEARS

Overview

Provision of specialised material handling equipment (MHE) fleet management services nationwide for eight years. Transnet seeks a service provider to manage Transnet’s MHE fleet across divisions (Owned, Full Maintenance Lease and Short Term Rental) with reporting, maintenance and lifecycle management, including 24/7 support and integration to Transnet systems. A non‑compulsory briefing is planned (22 Sep 2026, ~10:00, via TEAMS). Submissions are electronic and due by 02 Nov 2026 at 13:00 (180‑day bid validity).

Requirements

• Tax compliance with SARS and provision of PIN; if not available, use CSD information.
• Registration on National Treasury Central Supplier Database (CSD) (foreign suppliers may be exempt if no RSA entity).
• BBBEE status: provide BBBEE certificate or sworn affidavit per EMEs/QSEs, SANAS where applicable.
• Sign the Supplier Integrity Pact (Annexure H) and participate in related compliance (NDA in Annexure I).
• Provide proof of authority to sign (e.g., board resolution).
• Security clearance and other Bid Conditions per Transnet General Bid Conditions (Annexure G).
• Submit all returnable documents (SBD 1, Annexures A–K) and pricing schedule (Annexure D); ensure Excel sheets are submitted in PDF if required.
• Bid response must be compatible with the Master Agreement (Annexure E) and SLA (Annexure F) to be finalised on award.
