Overview

Procurement of footwear to equip Parliament staff, including safety boots and clogs, with specified safety features and local-content considerations. Bidders should be footwear suppliers/manufacturers able to supply in bulk according to the itemised schedule (16 lines of safety footwear and related footwear) and to meet operational, safety and HDI/RDP goals.

Requirements

• 80/20 evaluation: 80 points for price, 20 points for HDI and RDP goals; provide supporting documents as per the specific goals table.
• HDI/RDP goals: supply documents for Black, Women, SMME, Youth and Locally Manufactured Products as verification (ID/CSD/CK documents, annual turnover confirmations, declaration from Manufacturer).
• Compliance: Central Supplier Database (CSD) registration; valid tax pin; VAT number; submit a declaration of interest; supply all supporting documents; sample may be required for evaluation; quotes must be on company letterhead with VAT number.
• Conditions: not necessarily the lowest quote; Parliament may negotiate prices; right not to award; prohibition on logo use; potential restrictions for certain public office holders; may request additional pricing information; potential extension/continuity of service.
• Samples: a sample may be required as part of evaluation; delivery of the specified footwear according to the product description.
