RFQ-478/73139/2026 APPOINTMENT OF A SERVICE PROVIDER TO SUPPLY AND REPLACE LEAKING ASBESTOS SPRINKLER LINE OVER GREEN STREET BRIDGE AT ISITHEBE INDUSTRIAL ESTATE

Overview

Appointment of a service provider to supply and replace leaking asbestos sprinkler line over Green Street Bridge at Isithebe Industrial Estate, including replacing 30m x 6mm steel pipe and applying primer and epoxy paint. Bidders should have civil-engineering/construction/maintenance capability to perform pipe replacement on infrastructure, and comply with CSD registration and SARS tax clearance. If bidding as a consortium, each party must meet tax/compliance separately.

Requirements

• CSD registration and good standing with SARS; provide Tax Compliance Status (TCS) PIN or CSD number; for consortia, each party must provide separate TCS/PIN/CSD.
• Submit official forms: SBD 1 (invitation to bid) with resolution letter; SBD 4 (declaration of interest); SBD 6.1 (Preference Points Claim Form) if claiming points.
• Not be in the service of the State; no conflicts; etc.
• Evaluation uses price and preferences: 80 points for price and 20 for specific goals; specific goals include ≥51% Black Ownership, ≥51% Women Ownership, ≥51% Youth Ownership, ≥51% People living with disability Ownership; documentary proof required.
