Overview

RFQ for alien vegetation removal at the Jeffreys Bay Poplar Dam by Kouga Local Municipality. Target bidders are arboriculture/tree-felling specialists and civil-construction/land-management contractors with proven invasive-vegetation removal experience, environmental and safety capability, and local Eastern Cape presence. Electronic submission is accepted; a hard copy and a USB/SD copy are required, with a compulsory site clarification session.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in safe removal of large invasive trees using sectional dismantling and recognised arboricultural techniques, with a company profile and at least three contactable references in the last five years.
• Details of key personnel (qualifications in chainsaw operations, climbing, rigging, sectional dismantling) and a list of specialist equipment.
• Proof of Public Liability Insurance (min. R5 million), COIDA good standing, SARS Tax Compliance Status (TCS PIN) and/or CSD registration; municipal billing clearance in the company name; B-BBEE status certificate or sworn affidavit.
• Compliance with environmental and safety requirements; ability to deliver within ~30 working days; completion of a project implementation plan if applicable.
• Municipal verification rights for references/equipment and consequences for non-compliance or misrepresentation.
• Price schedule to cover mobilization, labour, transport, equipment, herbicide, supervision, and site cleanup; rates fixed for the contract duration.
