Overview

RFQ for a fixed audio and visual system for the Newton Community Hall, inviting AV equipment suppliers and installation specialists to bid on supply, installation, testing, commissioning and training for a complete fixed AV setup. Bidders should have professional AV integration capability with local SA after-sales support, comply with SANS electrical safety standards, and provide warranty and ongoing support; familiarity with local procurement requirements (BBEE, tax, CSD) is required.

Requirements

• Compulsory Site Clarification Session on 30 September 2026 at 10:00 (Newton Hall); mandatory.
• Equipment must be new, professional grade, fixed installation; with SA-based after-sales support and UPS/back-up options; compliant with SANS electrical safety.
• Minimum three reference letters for similar AV installations and evidence of relevant experience; basic user training provision.
• Compliance and pre-qualifications: SARS Tax Compliance Status PIN; CSD number if no TCS; VAT status; copies of IDs; municipal billing clearance.
• Documentation: complete and sign all bid documents in ink; submit required MBD forms (MBD6.1, MBD9, MBD7) and the pricing schedule; include electronic and original hard copies as applicable.
• Evaluation includes BBEE specific goals and locality points (Kouga/Sarah Baartman/EC) as per PP Regulations 2022.
