Overview

RFQ for supply and delivery of lubricants in Gauteng region (one-off). PRASA invites lubricant suppliers to quote for railway-grade lubricants with delivery to Johannesburg area. Bidders should be capable of supplying lubricants, be tax/compliance verified (SARS PIN, CSD), and meet PRASA's general purchasing terms.

Requirements

• Mandatory documents and compliance: Signed RFQ documents, Section 4 pricing/delivery forms, and Section 9 BOQ/pricing schedule; COIDA good standing; SARS PIN or CSD registration; all parties in JV/consortium must submit separate TCS/CSD; returnable documents as specified.
• Tax and supplier status: Tax compliance status with SARS PIN or CSD number; if foreign, assess implications per the tender; ensure CSD registration if no SARS PIN.
• Evaluation framework: Stage 1 compliance (mandatory documents), Stage 2 technical/functional (minimum 60% threshold), Stage 3 price and specific goals (80/20; 20 for specific goals).
• Specific goals targets: 10 points for black people living in rural areas; 10 points for EME/QSE 51% black-owned with supporting documentation.
• Contract terms: PRASA General Conditions of Purchase apply; delivery within stated period; one-year warranty for items; payment within 30 days of correct invoice.
• Delivery and pricing: Prices in Rand, fixed, inclusive of taxes; pricing must align with the attached pricing schedule/BOQ.

How to Apply

• Submission deadline: 07 September 2026 at 10:00 CAT (hard deadline).
• Submission method: Hand delivery only; no email or fax; place in the Bid Box at Ground Floor Shosholoza Meyl Junction, Cnr Leyds and Simmonds Street, Braamfontein (see RFQ document).
• Required documents: Completed Pricing and Delivery Schedule Form and BOQ/Pricing Schedule; Signed RFQ and SBD forms; COIDA good standing; SARS PIN; CSD number; JV agreements if applicable; all declarations.
• Pre-qualification: Register on CSD if not already; provide PIN or CSD number; ensure compliance status as per SARS.
• Briefing: Compulsory RFQ briefing attendance is noted as N/A; no mandatory briefing (see attached RFQ document).
