Overview

RFQ for the supply and delivery of EMU tools in the MetroRail Gauteng region (one-off). Bidders should be manufacturers or suppliers of railway maintenance tools with ability to supply EMU/rolling stock tools, and comply with PRASA’s procurement rules (SBD forms, tax compliance, CIDB/CSD where applicable, COIDA).

Requirements

• Tax and vendor checks: provide SARS PIN for tax status; if not using TCS, provide CSD number; ensure compliance if part of a JV/consortium (each party must have its own TCS/CSD).

• Evaluation criteria: Stage 2 requires a minimum 60% on technical/functional criteria (organizational experience, completed similar projects). Stage 3: Price (80 points) and Specific Goals (20 points).
• Specific goals: points for Black Youth-owned and Black Women-owned status (10 points each), with supporting evidence.
• Other: adherence to PPPFA rules, possible contract conditions, and post-submission processes.
