Overview

This RFQ seeks a service provider to maintain waterproofing membranes and downpipes at SABC Gqeberha as a one-off project. Suitable bidders are those with CIDB 1SN designation, experience in general building maintenance or roof waterproofing, and compliance with South African procurement requirements (CSD registration, tax clearance, TV licenses, BBBEE, and related certifications).

Requirements

• CIDB contractor grading designation of 1SN at closing and award; valid active CIDB certificate.
• Mandatory documents (submit as part of the response):
  • Proof of Central Supplier Database (CSD) registration
  • Valid TV License for the company and all active directors/shareholders
  • Valid Tax Clearance Certificate or SARS PIN
  • Original or certified BBBEE certificate (SANAS)
  • Certified copy of Company Registration and active directors/members
  • Certified copies of shareholders’ certificates and IDs of directors/members
• Site briefing/inspection: mandatory briefing on 06 August at 10:00 (51 Conyngham Road, Gqeberha); advise interest by emailing the contact below.
• Scope of works includes: strip old waterproofing, downpipe replacement with PVC, torch-on membrane application, water testing, parapet coving and coatings, conduit/pipe detailing, and surface finishing (including UV coats and painting).
• Price must include a detailed cost breakdown; separate pricing attachment recommended.
• Evaluation: functionality/technical threshold of 65/100; references, safety, methodology, and warranty are scored (including 24+ months warranty = 20 points).
• Sub-contracting: allowed up to 30% to a sub-contractor with equal/higher BBBEE status, with organ of state approval.
• Payment terms: 60 days after service delivery and invoice.
• Location: SABC Gqeberha; project is a one-off engagement.
