Overview

Procurement of 32,000 kg of maize husks (Madeya) for animal feed, with delivery to Malawi Prison Service sites. Bidders should have capacity to supply animal-feed by-products and meet the quality specs (well dried, free from foreign particles and moulds, high fiber) and be able to deliver within Malawi (EXW insured to Kamwanjiwa Prison Farming Site, Mzimba, and Kasungu Prison Farm) or CIP to a specified delivery point if sourced from outside Malawi.

Requirements

• 32,000 kg of maize husks (Madeya) meeting quality specs: well dried, free from foreign particles and moulds, high fiber.
• Delivery terms: EXW – insured and delivered to Kamwanjiwa Prison Farming Site (Mzimba) and Kasungu Prison Farm for goods from within Malawi; CIP to point of delivery for goods from outside Malawi.
• Delivery period: 7 days from date of order.
• Quotation validity: 30 days from receipt date.
• Warranty: 12 months.
• Quotation submission: sealed envelopes, received by 2:00 PM on 14/10/2026, to IPC Chairman, Prison Headquarters, Private Bag 28, Zomba.
• Pricing and contract: local purchase under Government of Malawi General Conditions of Contract for Local Purchase Orders; award to the lowest priced quotation by item or total; partial quotations may be rejected.
• Documentation to attach: completed Section C, trading licence, annual tax clearance certificate, MRA VAT registration certificate, PPDA (ODPP) registration certificate, list of recent government contracts; any other documents as required.
• Currency: Malawi Kwacha.
• Schedule of Requirements: 32,000 kg delivered; VAT 17.5%.
