Overview

Procurement of supply and installation of a battery charger cabinet at Langlaagte Signal cabin distribution substation and a transformer magnetic oil gauge at Germiston Rhino distribution substation. Suitable bids come from electrical/industrial contractors with CIDB 1EP or higher, experience with power transformers (500 KVA+), and the ability to meet PRASA’s safety, compliance, and documentation requirements.

Requirements

• CIDB: proof of grading 1EP or higher; CIDB registration (as applicable).
• Safety and environment: comply with Occupational Safety Act; provide a safety plan/file; on-site safety representative.
• Site staffing: Site Supervisor with C-green/A-red/A-brown qualification; Electrician with trade test certificate; Construction Health and Safety Officer (SACPCMP registered).
• Technical experience: proven experience on maintenance/repair of transformers 500 KVA+ in the last 10 years; CVs for key staff.
• Documentation: completed Pricing and Delivery Schedule; BOQ/Pricing Schedule; CIDB proof; Signed RFQ and SBDs; COIDA good standing; SARS PIN; CSD number; JV/consortium agreements if applicable.
• Returnables and compliance: all mandatory documents returned; alignment to PPPFA/price and specific goals requirements (Black Youth/Women ownership points).
