Requirements

• Price & BBBEE weighting: 80/20.
• Document availability: 28 September 2026 09:00 to 01 October 2026 13:00 (RFQ documents available by request).
• RFQ documents (English only) may be requested via email to Xolani Shobede (ShobedeX@ukzn.ac.za).
• Quotes must be submitted electronically to Centralprocurement@ukzn.ac.za; no hard copies and no late quotes.
• RFQ returnables will be stated in the RFQ document; ensure inclusion of required information (RFQ number, project name, company name, closing date/time).
• BBBEE compliance is required; procurement policy applies with 80/20 weighting.
• The University may not bind itself to the lowest quote and may accept the whole or any portion; if no communication within 90 working days after closing, submission is unsuccessful.

How to Apply

• Obtain RFQ documents during the availability window by emailing ShobedeX@ukzn.ac.za.
• Prepare your submission with RFQ number, project name, company name, and closing date/time; use the RFQ number and project name in the subject line.
• Submit electronically to Centralprocurement@ukzn.ac.za before the closing time (08 Oct 2026 12:00 per the RFQ document; note potential discrepancy with metadata timing).
• Do not submit hard copies or via facsimile; ensure returnables are completed as per the RFQ.
• RFQ documents are in English; for clarifications contact Mr. Xolani Shobede (RFQ queries) or Sandhia Ramsuroop (technical matters).
• If no communication within 90 working days after closing, consider the submission unsuccessful.
