RFQ-UKZN 81/25R

Overview

Two UKZN RFQs invite bids for building works: roof refurbishment at the Westville Campus (RFQ-UKZN 81/25R) and laminated flooring installation at the Pietermaritzburg Campus (RFQ-UKZN 95/25R). The roof refurbishment targets the Legal Services Building with CIDB 4 SN or higher and uses a USB bid submission, while the flooring project requires CIDB 1 GB or higher with electronic submissions. Both include BBBEE 80/20 and are open to bidders meeting UKZN RFQ policies.

Requirements

• CIDB grading: 4 SN+ (roof); 1 GB+ (flooring)
• BBBEE: 80/20 for both
• Compulsory briefing sessions: 03 November 2026 12:00 (roof) and either 02 September 2026 10:00 or 28 August 2026 10:00 (flooring, per document variant)
• RFQ returnables as specified in each RFQ document
• Document availability windows and submission rules as per each RFQ
• Limitations on submission method per RFQ and contact persons for procurement/technical queries

• RFQ-UKZN 95/25R (Laminated Flooring, Pietermaritzburg): document availability windows and briefing/closing dates vary by version. An advert (Advert Notice RFQ UKZN 95 25.pdf) shows electronic submissions to Centralprocurement@ukzn.ac.za with briefing 2 Sep 2026 10:00 and closing 8 Sep 2026.
