Overview

Supply and delivery of microbiology reference materials for Johannesburg Water. The scope covers categories of cultures, bacteriophage, suspensions, agglutination sera and CRMs, as detailed in the specification, and requires suppliers of microbiology reference materials with COA/MSDS, data sheets and applicable accreditation. Suitable bidders are microbiology/lab-supply vendors capable of supplying reference cultures and related materials (categories 1–6) with proof of quality and compliance.

Requirements

• All quotes on company letterhead; mandatory attachments: datasheet, reference letters, proof of certification/accreditation, and functionality requirements.
• Suppliers must be registered on the Central Supplier Database (CSD) with a valid supplier number; provide original tax clearance; BBBEE certificate or sworn affidavit; municipal rates/trade accounts not older than 90 days; lease agreement or municipal account not older than 3 months.
• No bids from persons in the service of the state; not blacklisted; not in breach of supply chain regulations; submission of Joint Venture Agreements if applicable.
• Complete MBD forms (MBD 4, MBD 6.1, MBD 8, MBD 9) and include a Pricing Schedule (MBD 3.1) with firm prices; returnable documents list included in the tender packet.
• Mandatory: provide a minimum of two contactable reference letters or reference projects demonstrating supply of microbiological reference materials.
• Ensure compliance with POPIA privacy terms and supplier vetting as part of evaluation.
