Overview

Procurement of Roller Shutter Door Replacement at Bram Fischer International Airport. Bidders should be CIDB contractors with a grading of 2ME or higher and have capabilities in heavy-duty roller shutter installation/refurbishment, with mechanical/electrical expertise and relevant site management qualifications.

Requirements

• CIDB requirement: contractor grading of 2ME or higher.
• Tax & registration: SARS Tax Compliance Status (PIN) or a Central Supplier Database (CSD) number; provide a TCS PIN if available.
• CIDB/B-BBEE: CIDB registration (B1) and B-BBEE evidence (certificate or sworn affidavit) with calculation of points.
• Returnable documentation: complete and submit the listed returnables (e.g., A3/A4 authority, A5 experience, A10 SBD4, A11 SBD6.1, C6 CVs, C9 OH&S questionnaire, etc.) per T2.
• Financial/insurances: bank letter of good standing; solvency letter; and relevant insurance certificates as required.
• Personnel: CVs and qualifications for key personnel (Site Manager, Fitter/Millwright/Electrician) aligned to the functionality criteria.
• OH&S and safety: Occupational Health and Safety documentation and compliance.

• Briefing/site visit: non-compulsory briefing on 23 July 2026, 10:00 at Bram Fischer International Airport (attendance recorded; see attendance certificate requirements in the Returnables).
• Submission method: tenders must be emailed to acsarfq@airports.co.za; physical bid box submissions are mentioned in the tender but email is required.
• Documents to submit: complete and return the required forms and schedules (T2 Returnable Documents), including SBDs, CIDB/B-BBEE documents, CIDB registration, SARS PIN/CSD, CVs, project experience, and insurance commitments (see CIDB Bid Document template: “CIDB Bid document Template 8385 Roller Shutter Doors.pdf”).
