Overview

Procurement: Routine Maintenance and Spot Improvement of Wamunyu-Itangini (B104) Road, funded through the Fuel Maintenance Levy Fund (RMLF), with bids invited from NCA Category 5–7 registered contractors. Bidders should be civil/highway construction firms with NCA registration, experience in road maintenance, and the capacity to meet pre-qualification and site-visit requirements. Work is in KeNHA’s Lower Eastern region, Machakos.

Requirements

• Mandatory NCA registration in Category 5, 6 or 7; valid Tax Compliance Certificate; Certificate of Incorporation; valid Annual Practising Licence with NCA; recent CR 12 (issued within 6 months).
• Bidders must serialise all tender pages; comply with market-rate requirements and PPADA/Regulations.
• Pre-qualification/eligibility criteria include: similar prior experience, qualified professional personnel, current workload, and exclusive citizen contractor preferences where applicable.
• Competitive process requirements include a post-qualification method, site visit, and potential JV considerations (if any).

How to Apply

• Submission deadline: 16 July 2026 at 09:00. Tenders must be in plain sealed envelopes clearly marked with tender name/reference and submitted to the Office of the Regional Director – Lower Eastern, Machakos (or Tender Box at the same office) (tender document).
• Submission method: physical delivery to KeNHA Lower Eastern Regional Office; sealed envelope with separate sub-envelopes for forms and documents.
• Documents to submit: Form of Tender, Bills of Quantities (priced), Tender Security or Tender-Securing Declaration, Joint Venture documents if applicable, qualifications documentation, technical proposal, and any other TDS-specified documents.
• Pre-qualifications/registrations: NCA Registration (Categories 5–7), National Tax Compliance, Regulation/Legal compliance; site visit participation and pre-tender briefing as per tender notice.
