Overview

Procurement of the supply and installation of Optical Ground Wire (OPGW) on the Ruigtevallei–Dreunberg 132kV transmission line. Bidders with HV transmission line experience, OPGW installation capability, and related electrical/telecom competencies, plus demonstrable ISO 9001 quality management, Eskom SHE compliance, CIDB registration, and local content declarations, should consider bidding.

Requirements

• Eligibility and integrity:
• Not restricted to do business with Eskom; not on sanctions lists; not submitting multiple tenders; JV/consortium liable; no conflict of interest.
• Compliance with Eskom’s Standard Conditions of Tender and e-tendering process.
• Submit required tender forms and annexures (SBD 1, SBD 6.1, SBD 4; Annexure A–J), including Local/Imported Content declarations.
• Pricing and documentation: Pricing Schedule/BOQ in PDF and Excel; all documents uploaded as PDFs; no hard copy submissions.
• Pre-qualification and quality: ISO 9001 supplier quality management requirements; pre/post contract quality plan; SHE/health and safety elements; COID/Good Standing; CIDB-related goals if applicable.
• SHE and environmental: comply with Eskom SHE specification; complete pre-contract and post-contract SHE requirements; environmental tender evaluation criteria apply.

• Clarifications and briefing: Compulsory clarification meeting 13 August 2026, 09:00 at Ruigtevallei substation, Gariep (GPS provided in ITT).
