Overview

SA Post Office Limited seeks a panel of shipping service providers for Durban and Cape Town Coastal Offices of Exchange for eight months, with options for Full Container Load (FCL) and Less than Container Load (LCL). Suitable bidders are logistics/ forwarding firms with SA Customs Clearing agent licenses, experience in international FCL/LCL shipments, and capability to handle imports/exports to the specified destinations; they must meet tax, governance, and BBBEE requirements and provide targeted client references (Annexure BR).

Requirements

• Tax compliance: SARS PIN or valid CSD number; compliance status verifiable.
• Customs clearing: registered with SARS with an active license (valid at bid closing).
• Central Supplier Database (CSD) registration; MAAA number where applicable.
• Insurance: comprehensive land and maritime transit liability up to at least R2 million (active at closing).
• Experience: minimum 1 year in providing shipping services; Annexure BR from a client.
• BBBEE: ≥51% Black-owned, ≥51% Youth-owned, ≥51% Women-owned, ≥1% disabled; provide SANAS BBBEE certificate, sworn affidavit, or DTI BBBEE certificate.
• Returnable documents: SBD1, SBD4, Confidentiality and Non-Disclosure, Certificate of Acquaintance, latest CSD and SARS tax certificates.
• Pricing: complete pricing schedule in ZAR (VAT included) for both export (FCL/LCL) and import where applicable.
• Annexures: complete Annexure BR and Annexure F (Pricing Schedule).
