Overview

RFP to purchase SAA and SAAT surplus and obsolete aircraft spares in an “AS-IS” condition. Bidder profile: aviation spares distributors/ disposers with capacity to finance, remove and transport large inventories; approx. 41,761 items across rotables, consumables and related stock; viewing allowed 23 Sep–14 Oct 2026; removal is required within a 90-day window (with staged extension fees) and delivery is DAP to SRO at SAA Technical, Kempton Park. Bid submission is electronic, with a 180-day validity period for proposals.

Requirements

• Tax clearance certificate (original) via SARS TCC 001; valid for 1 year.
• Central Supplier Database (CSD) registration; provide company/regulatory documents and banking details.
• BBBEE status or sworn affidavit for preference points; 51% Black-owned or 30% Black women ownership considerations may apply.
• Bank guarantee or confirmation of funds for the proposal amount; proceed to removal within 90 days or incur storage charges per schedule.
• Declarations on SCM practices; no disqualifications from National Treasury’s Database of Restricted Suppliers; complete SBD4 and related disclosures.
• Complete and submit Parts 1–8 of the bid documents (Information Schedule, Bid Conditions, Scope, Evaluation Criteria, Vendor Information, Deviations, POPI Consent, General Conditions).
