Overview

Procurement of scheduled maintenance to LV electrical systems, nurse calls, communications, PV and UPS for Amathole health facilities. Bidders with electrical LV maintenance capability, CIDB EB Grade 7+ (or higher), and the capacity to staff and resource multiple districts are eligible; joint ventures are allowed under strict CIDB and governance conditions.

Requirements

• CIDB eligibility: EB Grade 7+ (or higher) for each lead member; joint ventures must meet combined grading rules and CIDB registration.
• Key personnel: access to an Electrical Maintenance Manager and an Electrical Maintenance Supervisor with LV maintenance experience.
• Compliance documents: CIDB certificate, CIPC company registration, proof of Central Supplier Database (CSD), SARS tax clearance or valid tax PIN, COIDA good standing, SBD1/4/6.1, Compulsory Enterprise Questionnaire, and returnable schedules (RS) as detailed in Volume 2.
• Additional qualifications: Bank rating (minimum Grade C) and evidence of experience in LV installations/maintenance; no conflicts of interest; full participation in risk and compliance checks (including potential site visits).
• Site/contract specifics: two-stage evaluation (admin + price + goals) with health-and-safety and equal-protection requirements; special conditions for JV/consortium formation and signing of joint venture agreements.
