Requirements

• Waste management license or registration under National Norms & Standards for Storage of Waste.
• Registration as a second-hand goods dealer with SA Police (proof).
• Public health permit for offensive trades (proof).
• Letter of good standing with COID.
• Safe disposal certificate.
• Weigh bridge with SANAS-calibrated certificate.
• Vehicles transporting waste must be marked; drivers with PDP.
• Driver emergency preparedness and dangerous goods transport training.
• Spill containment kits on vehicles.
• All terms and conditions subject to negotiation and binding award (RFQ terms).
• Phase 2 functional criteria include having at least one 10-ton truck dedicated to SAAT, weekly collection, and specific collection timeframes.
