Overview

SAAT (SA Airways Technical Material) seeks offers to buy scrap metals off cuts and shavings, with a bin placement/collection service at SAAT premises. Requirements

• Waste management licence or National Norms & Standards registration for storage of waste.

• Spill containment kits on vehicles.
• Phase 1 evaluation requires at least one 10-ton truck dedicated to SAAT (weekly collection); ability to collect within 0–24 or 25–48 hours (phase 2).

Evaluation includes price within the Preferential Procurement framework (80/20 up to R50m; 90/10 above) and deemed compliance with critical criteria. Also, the scope covers safe disposal and environmental protection.
